A comprehensive guide to accessibility in the Civic and Cramphorn theatres is available on the Chelmsford City Theatres website.

The Cramphorn Theatre entrance had double doors from the street for ease of access for wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

Inside, there are steps up to and then down into the lower part of the auditorium but staff will be happy to arrange ground-level access to the lower part of the auditorium.

For those familiar with the theatre, we do take out some of the row seating and put in cafe tables and chairs for a more relaxed atmosphere during the performance.

We leave some upper tier rows for those who prefer an elevated view of the stage or do not wish to negotiate the stairs down to the lower level.

There is space for wheelchairs and guide dogs are welcome.
